The Land Registry charges for registering a purchase or mortgage are based on the value of the transaction. This is usually the price paid or mortgage advance received but sometimes this is not the case. If your property is between £100,001 - £200,000, the fee you will have to pay is £150. If your property is £200,001 - £500,000, the fee will be £220. There is usually no extra fee for a mortgage registered at the same time as a purchase.
