A slender 27-storey building with striking green glazed-terracotta tiles. Arranged around a unique triangular core, some of the homes overlook the gently flowing River Wandle while others offer panoramic views across London.
Marcon Place E8 is in the heart of Hackney, with 30 compact Pocket homes and three open market homes.
The building has a handsome entrance leading into a shared courtyard with lots of planting and built-in seating, which neighbours often used as groups and individually. It was designed by Waugh Thistleton Architects and incorporates open stairways with wooden screens, bold red paintwork and wide, open corridors.
Marcon Place E8 was completed in June 2015 and allowed 30 local city makers to get their foot on the housing ladder.
