Pocket homes complete at Rosina Street E9

Stunning new Hackney scheme for 29 local first time buyers

Rosina Street E9 was designed by Hackney-based Waugh Thistleton Architects, and completed in March 2017.  The Pocket flats were sold at a 20% discount to the surrounding market and the building is now home to 29 local first time buyers.  It’s the second Pocket Living scheme in Hackney, and it’s one we’re especially proud of – when you look at these photos, you’ll see why!

Thoughtfully designed, as with every Pocket home and scheme, Rosina Street E9 reflects and complements its urban setting. Each floor is partially open to the elements, allowing glimpses out over the local neighbourhood.

The building is packed full of great architectural features (spot the sawtooth brick details on the image above on the left) and practical amenities. There is ample cycle storage on every floor and each home has a colour co-ordinated front door and post box!

With unobstructed views across East London and the City, it’s the roof terrace at Rosina Street E9 that we really love. Landscaped with planters and enticing under-lit seating, the terrace is a great space for our Pocket buyers to enjoy.

When we asked a resident at Rosina Street E9 about their journey to becoming a Pocket homeowner, we were really chuffed to hear how much they love living here. So chuffed, we’re going to share what they said:

“I love my Pocket flat, finally my own sanctuary in Hackney. The shared communal rooftop is great oasis for drinks and relaxing in the sun with views stretching to the Olympic Park and the City skyline! My Pocket flat is the perfect size – small and compact but with tons of storage space. I love the the floor to ceilings windows flood my flat with natural light every day. Thanks again Pocket!”

Thank you city maker, you made our day!
