It’s a bit like seeing a building undressed on site today at Mapleton Crescent SW18. The last few pods are being craned in, before our green goddess puts her clothes on – a fetching set of green tiles.
The tiles are a beautiful pleated green terracotta that will clad the building from top to bottom, providing protection from the elements and giving a really beautiful shimmery appearance. We worked with ceramicist Loraine Rutt to find the perfect colour, which is inspired by a hand-finished glaze to bring a human element to this tall building.
We’re proud that Mapleton Crescent SW18 has got to this stage already – only a few weeks ago she was even more exposed, with just her concrete core in place:
… before we started to crane the the pods in…
This shot gives you an idea of the expansive views that some of our lucky buyers will get from their new homes.
With Mapleton Crescent SW18 going up so quickly, it won’t be long before we launch our sales programme.
